SUMMARY


ELEMIS is seeking a talented and creative Contract Part-Time YouTube Specialist & Content Creator to join our dynamic social media team. As the YouTube Specialist & Content Creator, you will be responsible for developing YouTube Strategy and managing all aspects of the platform. This candidate will execute captivating video content that showcases the unique features and benefits of our skincare products while effectively engaging our target audience on YouTube. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in video production, editing, and optimization for YouTube, with a keen eye for visual storytelling and a passion for skincare. You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to conceptualize and produce content that aligns with ELEMIS' brand identity and marketing objectives. Essential Responsibilities

 

  • Plan, shoot, edit, schedule and post content for Elemis YouTube channel.
  • Develop monthly calendars for content across YouTube.
  • Act as the “face” and primary content creator of the brand channel, often appearing in or hosting in content – must be comfortable shooting products, skincare routines, etc.
  • Edit videos and incorporate graphics, copy, visual and audio effects to create highly engaging, YouTube-optimized content.
  • Write SEO-optimized copy, ensuring content drives organic traffic and ranks highest in search results.
  • Coordinate with social media team, ensuring complete social media and brand alignment of the content calendar and day-to-day publishing.
  • Collaborate with paid media team to create content development strategy for optimal paid performance.
  • Identify content creators across YouTube for potential collaborations.
  • Stay updated on algorithm changes, competitive research, and industry trends to continually refine YouTube strategy.
  • Manage agency relationship, acting as the primary point of contact with YouTube agency.
  • Analyse and report on daily, weekly, monthly, and campaign-based metrics.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Characteristics

 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing brand YouTube, creating long form and short form organic social media video content, with a focus on SEO best practices.
  • Prior experience managing a brand YouTube account.
  • Expertise in both long form and short-form video content, specifically for YouTube and YouTube Shorts.
  • Proficiency in YouTube SEO best practices.
  • Knowledge and passion of beauty the industry.
  • Passion for and experience in social media marketing, with a strong understanding of trends and best practices.
  • High-level of commitment to a quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in social media video-editing (CapCut, InShot, etc).
  • *Required to be in-office, shooting in office studio 3 days a week.*


This role pays an hourly rate of $20-$30/hr.
