Elementary School Assistant Principal, Chestnut Hill Academy at Bright Horizons
The Assistant Principal at Chestnut Hill Academy is responsible for fostering an environment that allows children, their families, and the staff to develop to their full potential. The Assistant Principal is accountable for school operation that exceeds local state and district criteria and incorporates Bright Horizons Family Solutions’ mission, organizational goals, values, philosophies and policies, and development of positive relationships with parents, children, families, and Client.
Responsibilities:
Assistant Principals are encouraged to delegate responsibilities as is appropriate. Assistant Principal will review important decisions with the Principal, Head of Schools and be responsive to the requirements of the Corporate Office.
Assistant Principal will model exemplary employee behavior. Qualifications:
Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:
- Must have a valid WA state teaching certificate, required
- Must have a valid WA state administrators certificate, required
- BA/MA in Elementary Education, Education Leadership, required
- Demonstrated knowledge and 5 years of experience in an elementary school setting, highly preferred

Physical Requirements:
This position requires the employee to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons’, and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training. If hired, you will work in person in an early education/preschool child care center to provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery and services per Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures and guidance, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations, and in a manner that will ensure the safety of children in Bright Horizons care and the employee.

Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $145,000 - $155,000 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

Also, depending on hire date and subject to applicable eligibility requirements and accrual schedules, new employees in this role receive up to: 9 paid holidays annually; 40 hours of sick time per year based on full-time schedule, and 64 hours of vacation time per year based on full-time schedule (vacation time may be used for sick leave purposes under any applicable state or local sick or safe time law).
