To strengthen our dynamic and innovative procurement team, we are looking for a versatile and experienced individual to support our product optimization in laboratory equipment manufacturing — with a particular focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and stakeholder management in cooperation with R&D, procurement, and suppliers.
After comprehensive onboarding, you will become part of our team and take on a central role in cross-functional collaboration. You will be responsible for the value analysis of our electronic assemblies as well as the development and evaluation of technical alternatives. Applications range from sensor technology and microprocessor systems to high-precision drives, robotics, thermal control, and various detection systems.
As a Value Engineer, you will take project responsibility for complex (electronic) assemblies and manage them from a business perspective — from identifying potential cost savings through systematic analysis and evaluation to developing alternative solutions with improved cost-benefit ratios. You will analyze electronic board designs of higher-level assemblies, assess components in terms of technology and sourcing, and independently contribute to make-or-buy decisions and supplier selection.
With your experience, you evaluate the long-term availability of components and identify suitable state-of-the-art alternatives for legacy systems. You act as a key interface between various departments and stakeholders — from development and production to quality assurance, strategic procurement, and management. You are skilled at aligning diverse interests and developing sustainable solutions collaboratively.
You will lead projects through verification testing and recertification, address technical issues, and ensure efficient workflows. Process mapping and documentation in the PLM system, as well as process improvement, are also part of your responsibilities.
Our Agilent Values include trust, respect, and teamwork.
