Job Summary:Salas O’Brien is looking for a mid-level Electronic Safety & Security Consultant to join our Team.
The Electronic Safety & Security Consultant will leverage their experience working in the Architectural and Engineering community to oversee the design of Electronic Safety and Security systems (access control, intrusion detection, and surveillance). This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with other Senior staff and Engineers as well as consult directly with clients on a variety of project types within the construction industry. Projects will include new building construction and existing building renovations of data centers, sporting facilities, commercial, retail, multi-dwelling residential, hotel, education, and hospital properties.
In this role you will:- Work directly under the guidance and supervision of Project Executives and Senior Consultants to execute design direction and deliverables.
- Work with clients to understand and translate their requirements into technical designs.
- Think outside the box to come up with creative, practical, technically feasible, and financially responsible solutions to our client's challenges.
- Conduct security risk assessments.
- Develop project drawings and specifications.
- Participate in all phases of design process from needs assessment through construction and commissioning.
- Apply your knowledge of industry standards and best practices to projects.
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations.
- Design integrated electronic security systems.
- Perform system acceptance testing.
- Interact with project team members including Architects and MEP Engineers.
- Review contractor submittals and shop drawings.
- Limited travel required.

Compensation & Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $105,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
