Performs varied tasks, to ensure compliance of all electronic gaming machines as they relate to the Tribal Gaming Operations and ensuring these games meet compliance and regulatory standards as required by Tribal, Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Tribal-state Compact. Assist in ensuring that all aspects of the electronic games, including hardware and software, are current and are not identified as revoked by the gaming manufacturer and independent test labs. Meets with the Electronic Regulation Manager on a regular basis to address findings, relative to electronic gaming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

• Primary responsibility is to ensure that all electronic gaming machines offered to the gaming public meets all regulatory standards and requirements as indicated by Tribal, Federal and State Laws and regulations, including the Tribal-State Compact.

• This position works from the Gaming Commission Administration Office, but may be required to travel and work from any of the (3) Agua Caliente Casinos.

• Assists in developing and maintaining a department file/computer system so that all information and reports are properly tracked and is readily available to the ACGC Management.

• Works closely with casino slot management on reviewing for accuracy the preparation of the electronic gaming machine lists being sent to the State of California as required by the Tribal state Compact.

• Works closely with all the Gaming Commission Departments to obtain information required for upcoming audits and engagements as they pertain to electronic games.

• Responsible for identifying potential problems and risks with respect to the Internal Controls and ACGC Tribal Policies.

• Responsible for assuring the compliance of the gaming activities with Standards and Regulations as outlined in the State Compact, Gaming Ordinance and applicable Tribal Laws.

• Assist the Electronic Gaming Regulation Manager during EGD Audits and onsite inspections.

• Generates reports and findings found as it relates to the electronic games.

Will be responsible for reviewing all submitted ACBCI Control Documents on electronic games against:

A. IGRA

B. NIGC

C. State Compact

D. State Memorandums of understanding

E. Tribal Ordinance 15

F. ACGC Regulations

• Performs other job-related functions as assigned by Electronic Gaming Regulation Manager and Commission Management.


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. • A minimum of two years related experience in a gaming environment.

• Good English Skills, both spoken and written.

• Must possess knowledge of electronic gaming machines and all components associated with the device to include hardware, software and its operation in a Tribal Gaming environment. • Ability to interpret and understand certification letters as issues by an Independent Certified Test Lab.

• Good understanding of the Tribal Gaming Ordinance, NIGC MICS, and Tribal-State Compact.

• Knowledgeable with IRIS and slot machine databases including information contained and transferred in excel format or extracted to another format.

• Be skilled in prioritizing responsibilities and assignments with minimal supervisor and completing them in a timely manner.

• Candidate must be able to perform each of the essential duties, in an exemplary manner.


Working Conditions/Physical Demands

To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ miles, climbing stairs/step ladders and sitting at a desk work station for the duration of the shift. Also, may be subjected to a smoke-filled environment. Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 30 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use the office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-lines telephone.

Skills Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least two years of related experience in a gaming environment
  • Good spoken and written English skills
  • Knowledge of electronic gaming machines, including hardware, software, and operation in a Tribal Gaming environment
  • Ability to interpret certification letters issued by independent certified test laboratories
  • Understanding of Tribal Gaming Ordinance, NIGC MICS, and Tribal-State Compact requirements
  • Knowledge of IRIS, slot machine databases, and Excel data formats
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and complete work with minimal supervision
