Wells Fargo is seeking an Operations Specialist in ECS Delivery Payment Manager Operations as part of ACH, ECS and Instant Payment Operations.
ACH, Electronic Commerce Services (ECS), and Instant Payments Operations supports the day-to-day operations of all Wells Fargo's domestic and international Automated Clearing House (ACH), Electronic Commerce Services (Payables and Receivables), and Instant Payments. This includes post-implementation production support and customer care. Wells Fargo is the largest provider of ACH services in the U.S.
In this role, you will:
- Research and resolve moderately complex operational tasks, accountable for entire process from receipt of work to resolution and closure to include originating source documents, data adherence to regulations, processing payments, resolve discrepancies and process unique rejects or exceptions
- Work under close supervision, follow established procedures, identify opportunities to determine appropriate course of action within defined scope of responsibility
- Review and analyze inquiries and operational challenges that require research, evaluation
- Consult with management for more complex issues to assist with appropriate course of required action
- Analyze and present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing of understanding of policies, procedures and compliance regulations
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- 2+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- General understanding of your Payment Manager including the process flow
- Proficiency in all Payment Manager Critical Functions and associated tools
- Ability to understand and/or read file formats
- Utilizes Departmental applications and tools for efficiency
- Monitoring logs timely and accurately
- Fast issue mitigation, end to end ownership and resolution
- Relationship building with internal partners and customers
- Take personal responsibility of timely resolution of customer issues through SMART Mailbox and phone (adhere to all set SLAs)
- Ensuring understanding of work assignments to mitigate issues
- Flexibility with task rotation
- Works Escalations prior to involving Team Lead, Production Support, or Management
- Identifies recurring trends and takes action on preventative measures
- Communication of escalated issues and resolution to Leadership Team
- Actively seeking work outside of assigned tasks and anticipating the needs of others/dept. and assisting when needed
- This is a first shift position Monday - Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST
- Position location: 1525 W W.T. Harris Blvd, Charlotte, NC
- This is a hybrid position where you would need to be in office 3 days a week.
