Missions:
- In charge of in advanced designing the mixing, coating, pressing, and slitting processes
- Develop, design, and evaluate more innovative processes and equipment.
- Collaborating with the product engineering team to optimize the electrode design
- Supports the improvement of problems in the pilot equipment
- Improving & increasing level of process automation, which will save capital and operating costs
- Testing and validating state-of-the-art technologies for use in the electrode process
Requirements:
- M.S. in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
- A sufficient understanding of mixing, coating, pressing and slitting processes and equipment is required
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with battery electrode processes
- Expert knowledge of single & dual slot die coating system, fluid mechanics, piping design, and fluid measurement techniques
- Experience with sensors for roll-to-roll web processes, such as beta-ray, x-ray, ultrasonic, laser, and vision inspection.
- Expert knowledge of powder technology, fluid mechanics, rheology, and other fluid measurement techniques
- Strong statistical and data analysis skills with tools such as Python, Matlab, and Minitab.
- Proficiency in English & French
