Echostar has an exciting opportunity for an Electrician in our Hughes Network Systems Division. This position will be located at our office in North Las Vegas.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and test electrical systems including defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using test instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, and voltmeter.
- Complete daily maintenance checks and work assignments, general duties include installation of motors, transformer, lighting fixtures, cable tray and complete circuits according to diagram specifications and Blue Prints.
- Complete work as required in a craftsmen like manner in conformance with requirements of local building and NEC codes as well as company specifications
- Additional duties may include general building maintenance.
- Typical Shift work Monday - Friday and may require some nights, weekends, and Holidays.
- Required on call rotation support.
Basic Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Current Journeyman electrical license.
- 2 years Commercial and/or industrial experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent conduit bending skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence using computer
- Ability work independently and apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Essential Job Duties:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to sit, stand, crawl, and climb ladders for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in all-weather environments, extreme heat, extreme cold, snow, rain noise, hazards and atmospheric conditions (fumes, odor, dust, mist or poor ventilations) indoors, and outdoors
The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.

Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $51,000.00 - $73,000.00
