Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Electrical Design
Develop electrical schematics, cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and related documentation using Zuken E3.
Design wiring solutions for complex industrial equipment following established engineering standards.
Select connectors, terminals, wire types, cable protection, and standard electrical components.
Design high-flex cable systems and e-chain routing for moving assemblies.
Support prototype builds and production by resolving electrical documentation issues.
Engineering Documentation
Create and maintain accurate electrical documentation in Zuken E3.
Generate wire lists, cable schedules, connector tables, harness drawings, labels, and related manufacturing documentation.
Create, structure and maintain BOMs in the Company’s ORACLE database in align with mechanical engineering team.
Maintain documentation throughout the product lifecycle, including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
Ensure released documentation is complete, accurate, and consistent with company standards.
Engineering Support
Support prototype assembly and manufacturing by answering electrical documentation questions.
Work closely with mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and systems engineers to resolve integration issues.
Participate in electrical design reviews.
Resolve assigned engineering issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Experience: This position requires a minimum of 3–5 years of industrial electrical design experience, experience with Zuken E3 is required, experience with Altium Designer, AutoCAD, or DraftSight is desirable.
