Key Responsibilities:
• Production of primary/secondary plant layouts and designs in accordance with DNO and
• NG/SSE standards
• Production of drawings and designs relating to HV/LV substation layouts including earthing
• layouts & details, busbar and clamps, cable routing and mechanical interlocking
• Producing conceptual and detailed substation design in accordance with customer
Specifications
• Create Primary Plant models and drawings for other disciplines to work on
• Meet project requirements in collaboration with other disciplines
• Review project files for compliance with Standards/protocols Implement best practice procedure
• Liaising with Clients, answering technical queries.
• Liaising with Sub-contractors, raising PO’s etc.
• Attend site visits and client meetings in the UK and Europe as and when required
• Site visit for tender support as and when required.
• Situation specific additional responsibilities directed by top management.
Academic Qualification and Certification
• BE-(EEE)
Work Experience
• At least 8 yrs relevant experience in similar role
• Total Experience –8 to 12+ yrs.
Skills:
• Experience of working on HV substation projects
• Experience of secondary design principles in substation projects
• Experience of AutoCAD or Revit.
• Experience of delivering HV infrastructure projects to challenging deadlines Knowledge of industry standards and ability to translate requirements to CAD · Able to work on own initiative. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills.,
Skills Required
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Electronics (BE EEE)
- At least 8 years relevant experience (total 8-12+ years)
- Experience working on HV substation projects
- Experience with secondary design principles in substation projects
- Experience with AutoCAD or Revit (CAD drafting and modelling)
- Experience delivering HV infrastructure projects to challenging deadlines
- Knowledge of DNO and NG/SSE standards and ability to translate requirements to CAD
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience liaising with clients and subcontractors, raising POs
- Willingness to attend site visits and client meetings in the UK and Europe as required
