Are you passionate about electrical design and eager to work on advanced material handling systems for international projects? Vanderlande is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Project Engineering Department in Veghel.
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you play a key role in the complete electrical design process — from power distribution to detailed control systems. You will design, specify, and document all required electrical components, ensuring that every system is built to the highest technical and safety standards. A major part of your role involves producing control diagrams and system schematics using advanced industrial network technologies such as Industrial Ethernet, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and AS-i bus.
You will prepare full design and drawing packages for the manufacturing of electrical enclosures, including cabling specifications, installation drawings, and assembly instructions. Your clear and detailed designs ensure smooth communication with installers and flawless system commissioning: from first connections to testing of the last I/O. To achieve this, you will work with powerful CAD tools such as EPLAN and AutoCAD, using all available functionalities to ensure accuracy and efficiency. You’ll also contribute to the development of engineering tools and methods to optimize design workflows.
Your responsibilities
- Design and document complete electrical systems, from power distribution to control diagrams.
- Prepare bills of materials and detailed documentation for manufacturing and installation.
- Create and maintain control and network layouts using Industrial Ethernet, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and AS-i bus.
- Collaborate with mechanical and controls engineers within a multidisciplinary project team.
- Support commissioning teams with testing and validation of the electrical installation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of CAD tools and engineering processes.
Your profile
- Vocational (MBO-4) or Bachelor’s (HBO) degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience in electrical system design and knowledge of industrial networks (PROFIBUS, PROFINET, AS-i bus, Industrial Ethernet).
- Solid understanding of power distribution systems.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as EPLAN and AutoCAD.
- Good command of the English language.
- Structured, accurate, and proactive approach with strong communication skills.
