About the RoleEssity is currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer based in our facility in Bowling Green, KY. The Electrical Project Engineer will lead capital projects that drive business growth and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role provides electrical expertise to Essity’s high-speed manufacturing operations, ensuring safe and efficient performance.

What You Will Do
- Lead and manage capital projects from concept through commissioning.
- Develop project scopes, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Oversee installation, startup, and validation of new equipment.
- Own and maintain the site electrical distribution systems.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for high-speed converting lines and packaging equipment.
- Program PLCs, HMIs, drives, motion control systems.
- Optimize electrical controls systems for throughput and waste reduction.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA and other safety standards.
- Serve as a technical resource for operators and technicians.
- Develop a control system obsolescence strategy and manage its execution.
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of project engineering experience in manufacturing
- Experienced in CAD (AutoCAD or ePlan).
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
- VFDs, servo systems, and motion control.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Communicates well, both verbally and in written form.
- Knowledge of machine vision systems and barcode readers.
- Exposure to OPC, MES and DDE would be a plus.
- Strong knowledge of control systems and power distribution.
