Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, the Electrical & PLC Systems Supervisor’s responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery, electrical control equipment and circuitry in industrial plant setting
- Oversees assembly and testing of experimental motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles
- Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective action
- Develops diagrams, drawings and specifications for modifications or expansions and directs personnel performing routine installation and maintenance duties
- Plans, directs and records periodic testing; recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment as needed
- Directs, coordinates, develops, trains, coaches and assesses employees
- Supports and encourage employees to work safely, efficiently and effectively
- Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned

Skills Required
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems and industrial electrical controls
- Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions and perform corrective action
- Experience overseeing assembly and testing of motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, and generators
- Ability to develop electrical diagrams, drawings, and specifications for modifications
- Plan and direct periodic testing and recommend equipment modification or replacement
- Supervise, train, coach, and assess maintenance and engineering personnel
- Commitment to workplace safety and enforcing safe work practices
