Job Description:
We welcome rising college sophomores, juniors, and seniors to apply to be a summer intern at ICT. Our interns are embedded into our teams and get the opportunity to work on real projects under the supervision and education of our experienced engineers.

Job Duties:

  • Work with licensed engineers to develop skills and knowledge
  • Do photometrics and work with the software for preliminary lighting layouts.
  • Encouraged to try to solve engineering problems using their education.
  • Lay out equipment in spaces to meet project needs (lighting, fire alarm, and receptacles, etc.)
  • Work with mechanical engineers to pick up power for their equipment.
  • Assists in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plan, construction schedules, studies, permits, and designs for assigned projects.
  • Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Operates engineering software to solve specific problems, and inputs the data required by the program.
  • Familiarize themselves with state-of-the-art design and various state and local regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
  • Accepts direction and supervision well
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • ACAD/Revit experience a plus
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
