POSITION SUMMARY:
The Electrical Engineer provides technical leadership and support for electrical systems across MPLX facilities, with a focus on safety, reliability, and system performance. This role partners with Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams to drive electrical safety programs, perform system studies, and support the design and execution of capital projects. The position plays a key role in advancing MPC initiatives, including energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and digital enablement, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supports small Engineering, Projects, or Construction tasks in a primary role.
- Reviews electrical designs and provides fundamental design concepts for electrical systems.
- Provides guidance for solving Operations electrical problems.
- Supports electrical safety programs and initiatives.
- Uses familiarity with recognized electrical codes & standards, design studies, concepts such as arc flash, coordination, and load flow analysis to provide recommendations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
- Three (3) years of related experience required.
- Valid Driver's License required.
