Overview
Our team is expanding and looking for an Electrical Engineer. This position is key to maintaining momentum and achieving our strategic goals in the development of cutting-edge communication technologies in our Toulouse office. Candidate shall have experience in designing and testing electronics. Additional experience in opto-electronics, power electronics and/or RF circuit design would be an asset. 

What you will be doing:

    • Develop PCBA requirements in collaboration with other engineering disciplines.   

    • Design, develop, test and qualify electronic systems across multiple projects, including optical transceivers, analog and digital circuits, test equipment, ensuring all components meet required specifications and performance standards.  

    • Schematic capture and PCB layout using a PCB design tool, such as Altium Designer.  

    • PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing: test requirements, test plans, assembly, validation, test automation, operation of test equipment and results documentation. 

    • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration of electronic systems with other project components.  

    • Documenting design processes, test results, and providing comprehensive reports to support project milestones and decision-making.  

    • Staying updated with the latest advancements in electronics and RF technologies to continuously improve systems.  

What you bring to this role:

    • Bsc + 5, Msc + 3 in Electrical Engineering. 

    • Experience in electronics circuit design, analysis, simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing.   

    • Experience in design, development, troubleshooting and testing of electronic systems, preferably in the context of communication technologies or related industries.  

    • Knowledge of PCB design and layout tools (Altium Designer preferred).  

    • Proficiency with electronic lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, soldering iron, etc.  

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.  

    • A proactive and innovative approach, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement in the field of electronics. 

Bonus points:

    • Have delivered hardware from inception to production in either space or non-space environments. 

    • Experience with optical comms system design, including laser driver and low-noise optoelectronics components front-end. 

    • Experience in RF design and testing. 

    • Experience in designing for space environments including radiation impacts and mitigation.

Skills Required

  • BSc +5 years or MSc +3 years in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in electronics circuit design, analysis, simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing
  • Experience in design, development, troubleshooting and testing of electronic systems (preferably in communication technologies)
  • Knowledge of PCB design and layout tools
  • Experience with Altium Designer
