ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Design and perform tests on terminals and wire assemblies to ensure compliance with various standards.
- Perform engineering tasks utilizing engineering and design software used for programmable logic controllers and operator interfaces for Q-Box soldering controllers.
- Integrate soldering equipment into new and/or existing assembly lines in accordance with codes, customer requirements, and specifications.
- Utilize engineering software to interface various machine controllers.
- Compile data and write reports for project testing.
- Determine cause for equipment failure and the parts needed for repair and/or equipment replacement.
- Prepare technical drawings and specifications for electrical systems.
- Prepare specifications for purchases of materials and equipment.
- Confer with engineers, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products.
- Support research and development activities for new product technologies.
- Supervise or train project team members and area supervisors as necessary.
- Establish rapport with customers and develop business relationships within the customer’s organization.
- Read current literature, attend meetings or conferences, or talk with colleagues to stay abreast of new automotive technology or competitive products.
- Adhere to EMS and IATF 16949 Policies and Procedures.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned by the manager.

- Ability to read and write technical specifications and reports.
- Ability to proficiently use various company-related and external systems and databases.
- Ability to proficiently use computer programs such as Microsoft Office applications.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in manufacturing and/or the automotive industry preferred.
- Must have problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must have understanding of electrical properties of materials.
- Must have excellent organizational and technical writing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
- Demonstrated proficiency with various Computer Aided Design (CAD-CAM) software (e.g., DraftSight, PLC Programming).
- Must be proficient with computers and demonstrated skills in office applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
