Mayvin is seeking a highly capable Electrical Engineer to provide technical engineering support to USASOC Unmanned Systems (UMS) operations, research, development, testing, integration, and fielding activities. This position supports the evaluation and advancement of cutting-edge unmanned aerial and  ground systems employed by Special Operations Forces (SOF). The engineer will collaborate with operators, acquisition professionals, scientists, and system developers to assess electrical architectures, power systems, payload integration, communications systems, and emerging technologies that enhance operational capabilities across the SOF enterprise.


Must be a U.S. citizen

Must have an active Secret clearance.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide electrical engineering expertise for UAS, UGV, and other unmanned system platforms supporting SOF missions
  • Evaluate system electrical architectures, power distribution systems, batteries, charging systems, and energy management solutions
  • Support integration of sensors, communications equipment, electronic warfare payloads, ISR systems, and mission-specific technologies onto unmanned platforms
  • Conduct engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigations of system deficiencies and failures
  • Develop and review engineering documentation, interface control documents, test plans, technical reports, and system specifications
  • Participate in developmental testing, operational assessments, field demonstrations, and user evaluations
  • Analyze electrical and electronic subsystem performance, reliability, maintainability, and operational suitability
  • Support prototype development efforts and rapid capability insertion initiatives
  • Collaborate with government laboratories, industry partners, program offices, and operational units to evaluate emerging technologies
  • Provide technical recommendations to support acquisition decisions, requirements development, and capability modernization efforts
  • Assist with technology transition planning from research and development into operational employment
  • Support engineering reviews, design reviews, risk assessments, and technical interchange meetings
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with military communications systems, sensors, power systems, embedded electronics, or unmanned systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of electrical design principles, circuit analysis, power management, and system integration methodologies (preferred)
  • Experience supporting DoD engineering, acquisition, testing, or operational programs (preferred)

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical design, power distribution, digital/analog electronics, and system integration
  • Experience creating or reviewing engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Experience in testing and evaluating military or ruggedized tactical systems
  • Working knowledge of applicable DoW, MIL-STD, and industry standards
  • Ability to perform engineering analyses and provide detailed technical recommendations
