Job Summary

Design generators, motors, and/or associated control/protective systems for commercial, industrial, and/or military applications.

Job Description

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Under direct supervision of more senior level Engineers:

  • Contributes to design of rotating electrical equipment using various LSNA design programs.
  • Performs/directs activities to ensure that manufacturing and operational testing conform to internal and external customer specifications
  • Provides direct technical support to internal and external customers
  • Mentor and train co-workers as required
  • Prescribe, interpret, and analyze test results and formulate remedial measures as required
  • Uses Lean and Quality initiatives in a cross functional environment
  • Supporting applicable manufacturing and testing system
  • Utilizes current ERP/PLM systems to make necessary and applicable updates to internal processes and design guidelines

Experience/Skills:

  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of electrical power fundamentals, as well as strong analytical, organizational, and oral communication skills. 
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience

Additional Job Details

Education:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar technical science field) required.
