The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, testing, and sustaining electrical and electronic systems and hardware supporting Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), national security, defense, and space applications.

The position reports to the Engineering Manager and is part of the Electrical Engineering Department. Relocation assistance may be provided to qualified candidates.

In this role, the essential functions are:

  • Design, develop, integrate, and test electrical and electronic hardware, assemblies, and subsystems for ISR, defense, space, and national security missions.
  • Translate system and electrical requirements into circuit designs, architectures, interfaces, schematics, PCB designs, power distribution solutions, and other technical products.
  • Perform electrical analyses and calculations, including power, signal integrity, circuit performance, thermal considerations, grounding, shielding, reliability, and component selection as appropriate to the assigned program.
  • Develop and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, electrical drawings, bills of materials, interface documentation, test procedures, and other configuration-controlled engineering documentation.
  • Support hardware bring-up, integration, verification, qualification, and environmental testing; troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate laboratory equipment and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with systems, software, mechanical, RF, embedded, manufacturing, test, quality, cybersecurity, and mission engineering teams to integrate electrical hardware into complex mission systems.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical planning, risk assessments, failure investigations, supplier interactions, and configuration management activities while maintaining clear technical documentation.
  • Apply engineering best practices for reliability, electromagnetic compatibility, signal integrity, power management, manufacturability, and secure mission-critical hardware development.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field with 4 years of relevant professional experience OR Master’s degree in a related technical field with 2 years of relevant professional experience OR 8 years of relevant electrical engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 4–10 years of professional experience developing electrical or electronic hardware in a production, mission-critical, aerospace, defense, intelligence, or other highly regulated technical environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with electrical circuit design, schematic development, component selection, electrical interfaces, and hardware integration.
  • Experience using electrical engineering tools for schematic capture, PCB design, simulation, analysis, or related design activities.
  • Experience with laboratory test and troubleshooting equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, logic analyzers, or similar equipment.
  • Working knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals including analog and digital circuits, power distribution, signal integrity, grounding, filtering, and electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Ability to interpret and develop technical requirements, specifications, schematics, drawings, test procedures, and engineering documentation and communicate technical recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance, if required for the assigned position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing electrical systems or hardware for ISR, intelligence, national security, defense, space, satellite, airborne, or other mission-critical applications.
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance and/or experience working within classified environments, along with experience with MIL-STD, DO-160, environmental qualification, EMI/EMC, high-reliability electronics, or ruggedized hardware.

Travel, Physical and/or Government Mandated Requirements:

  • Travel up to 10%, including the possibility of overnights, to support customers, program activities, integration and test events, suppliers, or other business needs.
  • Ability to work in office, laboratory, manufacturing, integration, and test environments and safely work around electrical and electronic hardware and associated equipment as required.
  • Certain positions may require eligibility for a U.S. Security Clearance and/or compliance with applicable export-control requirements.

The good faith base salary range for this role is $94,000–$202,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive.

This range may be adjusted in the future.
