Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer with 6–8 years of relevant experience in the design and delivery of commercial projects. The candidate will be responsible for electrical system design, preparation of engineering drawings and documentation, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and project standards.
Qualifications
- Design and develop electrical systems for commercial building projects.
- Prepare electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, lighting layouts, power distribution, and other technical drawings.
- Perform electrical load calculations and equipment sizing as required.
- Coordinate electrical designs with Architectural, Structural, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting disciplines.
- Review and ensure the quality and accuracy of electrical drawings and design deliverables.
- Conduct design reviews and assist in resolving technical and coordination issues.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing technical specifications, reports, and other project documentation.
- Participate in design coordination and project review meetings.
- Support the team in delivering projects within the required timelines and quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in electrical design and engineering.
- Experience in commercial projects such as hotels, hospitals, offices, retail, mixed-use developments, or high-rise buildings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of relevant electrical design software.
- Good understanding of electrical distribution systems, lighting, power systems, earthing, and ELV systems.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and design practices.
- Good understanding of multidisciplinary coordination.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in electrical design and engineering
