Your Role at BSI
Our Electrical Engineering team brings many years of experience designing power distribution systems for clients across a wide range of industries. Working closely with our full-service team, our Electrical Engineers help deliver fully integrated design packages of the highest quality. In this role, you'll assess client needs and create designs that ensure Code compliance and personnel safety while achieving the client's desired goals. Project scopes range from full facility and process designs for greenfield projects to retrofits and equipment upgrades at existing sites.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (required)
- 5+ years of electrical design experience
- Exposure to EasyPower and/or SKM software
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit software
- Experience with load studies (required)
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code
- Industrial power distribution experience (required)
- Ability to specify power distribution equipment
- Familiarity with lighting design and lighting controls
- Familiarity with grounding system design
- Field exposure to various manufacturing, industrial, commercial, or institutional environments
Responsibilities and Scope:
- Execute the electrical engineering design scope for single- and multi-discipline projects while ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards, performing the Lead role as assigned
- Ensure the quality and technical accuracy of your own project deliverables, including all calculations and design work required to prepare them
- Meet the discipline's engineering schedule and budget objectives on assigned projects
- Independently design low-voltage (600V and below) industrial power distribution systems, including: Specifying power distribution equipment, Sizing overcurrent protection and Sizing conductors, conduit, and cable tray
- Assist in the design of medium-voltage (MV) power distribution systems, including the selection, specification, and incorporation of MV equipment
- Assist in short circuit, arc flash, coordination, and load studies
- Independently perform the specification and design modification of MCCs, including single-lines and the layout of MCC elevations
- Independently design cable tray and conduit systems and specify low-voltage distribution equipment
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years of electrical design experience
- Exposure to EasyPower and/or SKM software
