Job DescriptionAs an Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to the planning, design, and execution of the embedded electrical systems for IQSIGHT’s moving (PTZ) camera product portfolio. In support of multiple new product introductions, you’ll participate in requirements planning, architecture development, circuit design, design verification, and industrialization activities.
Strategic:
- Work with senior technical staff in developing system architectures for the future PTZ platforms.
- Identify areas for improvement within the EE team and suggest actionable CIP initiatives.
- Ensure designs adhere to global regulatory and compliance standards and guidelines.
Operational:
- Contribute to product requirement development, system design, system implementation, and validation activities.
- Support lifecycle management efforts including component EOL, cost down, and field complaint investigations.
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews and perform risk assessments (FMEA, focus area matrices, etc...).
- Own assigned electrical subsystem designs through development, verification, release, validation, and implementation.
- Perform electrical tolerance analysis and component derating techniques to ensure a robust, high-quality design.
- Support the manufacturing plant in devising optimized production tests to ensure robust product performance.
People:
- Mentor junior engineers to support team growth and skill development.
- Communicate ideas, technical decision making, and risks clearly and concisely to all colleagues.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years' experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex, embedded electrical systems.
- Familiarity with the following core concepts:
- Schematic and layout design
- Analog & digital circuit design and simulation
- DC power supply circuit design and simulation
- EMC design practices and debugging
- Standard communication buses: SPI, I2C, I2S, UART, CAN, USB, etc.
- Microprocessor-based embedded system design
- Experience with basic lab equipment: oscilloscopes, DMMs, data loggers, logic analyzers, etc.
- Experience with cross-functional, peer design reviews of electrical systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical topics for decision-making and risk analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office tool suite.
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 2+ years’ experience design, testing, and validating high-speed PCB designs.
- Quality Certification: ASQ DFSS Greenbelt or similar.
- Knowledge of the following advanced topics:
- Power & Signal Integrity design, simulation, and measurement
- Image based signaling protocols such as MIPI CSI-2, LVDS, HDMI
- Motors and motor control (BLDC, Stepper)
- Experience with:
- Product and component life cycle management processes
- Agile methods for work breakdown & task management in hardware design
- Integrating AI tools into engineering tasks
- Engineering requirements development
- Common coding languages such as Python/C++ for test development & Linux OS
- Global compliance frameworks [Safety, Environmental, EMC]
- 8D & fishbone diagrams for problem solving
This role is hybrid with 3 days in-office per week. Candidates must live in a commutable distance to Lancaster, PA site. Travel Expectation, 10% (Domestic and International). Position may require early morning or late-night meetings with development teams in Asia & Europe.
Additional InformationWithin the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
