Electrical Engineer (Systems & Subsystems Design)

Our client, a world leader in semiconductors, is looking for a "Electrical Engineer (Systems & Subsystems Design)" based out of Milpitas, CA.

Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

Pay Rate : $85/hr on W2

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical components, modules, and subsystems for complex systems. This role involves end-to-end ownership of the design lifecycle, from requirements and feasibility to testing and manufacturing handoff, ensuring high performance, reliability, and seamless system integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical parts, modules, and subsystems
  
• Perform circuit, timing, thermal, and electrical load analysis, including FPGA modeling
  
• Develop schematics and detailed designs using tools such as OrCAD, PSpice, and FPGA platforms (Xilinx/Altera)
  
• Lead prototype development, testing, system integration, and validation
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Software, Optical, Systems, Manufacturing)
  
• Prepare technical documentation (design specs, test procedures, service manuals)
  
• Manage suppliers to ensure design requirements and quality standards are met
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve product issues across development phases
  

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in electrical system design and analysis
  
• Proficiency with EDA tools (OrCAD, PSpice) and FPGA development platforms
  
• Experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.)
