Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer / Senior Electrical Engineer to join our building services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on technically challenging projects, with the potential for international travel and overseas project opportunities.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in building services electrical engineering, together with proven experience using industry-standard design and calculation software.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical engineering design solutions across building services projects.
- Develop electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
- Produce and review electrical drawings and models using Revit.
- Undertake lighting design and calculations using DIALux.
- Carry out cable sizing and electrical calculations using ElectricalOM / Amtech.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients and other project stakeholders.
- Provide technical input throughout the design and project lifecycle.
- Support the delivery of high-quality, compliant and practical engineering solutions.
- Depending on experience, take responsibility for elements of project delivery and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
- Support projects that may involve overseas travel and international assignments.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working as a Building Services Electrical Engineer.
- Strong understanding of building services electrical engineering principles and design.
- Proficient in Revit.
- Proficient in DIALux.
- Proficient in ElectricalOM / Amtech cable sizing software.
- Due to the level of security clearance required for this role we can only consider sole British Nationals and a minimum of 10 years of continuous UK residency, with no absence from the UK exceeding 30 consecutive days during the last 10 years is required.
- SC or DV security clearance is highly desirable.
- Candidates who do not currently hold SC or DV clearance must be willing and eligible to undergo the relevant security clearance process.
Senior Engineer Candidates
For Senior Engineer positions, we would additionally expect a strong track record of delivering electrical engineering projects, the ability to work independently, and experience providing technical leadership and/or mentoring to other engineers.
