Seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and ongoing improvement of power distribution and protection equipment. This role combines electrical design, laboratory work, troubleshooting, documentation, and product certification support.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems at the product level, including component selection, thermal system design, mechanical packaging concepts, and interconnection hardware.
- Apply knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, magnetics, and thermal systems.
- Develop engineering and technical specifications for power protection systems.
- Design switchboard power and control circuits.
- Create and maintain schematics, bills of materials, and other engineering documentation.
- Support the qualification and integration of third-party devices into power distribution equipment.
- Participate in hardware design reviews and evaluate product robustness.
- Prepare customer and manufacturing documentation, test procedures, and technical reports.
- Provide sustaining engineering support for new and existing power protection systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and subsystems hands-on.
- Support product safety certification activities involving NRTL requirements, including UL, CSA, and IEC standards.
