Revamp is seeking a Power Systems Engineer I/II to support power system studies and design efforts for utility-scale renewable energy projects. This role focuses on performing various analyses and design for renewable energy power systems, including grounding design, short-circuit, load-flow, arc flash, and protective device coordination studies for solar, battery energy storage, and renewable substation facilities. This role directly contributes to collection system design and overall project execution.

This role contributes to Revamp’s mission of accelerating the clean energy transition by delivering accurate, high-quality engineering analyses and supporting the safe, reliable integration of solar PV and battery energy storage systems into the grid, while developing technical expertise under the guidance of senior engineers

Duties & ResponsibilitiesCore Technical & Functional Responsibilities
  • Perform power systems studies including but not limited to Grounding studies, short circuit, load flow, arc flash, protective device coordination, ampacity, harmonic, and power quality analysis.
  • Build and maintain system models for utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and collection system configurations.
  • Size and route medium voltage collection system cable under established design criteria.
  • Prepare study reports, calculation packages, and support project documentation.
  • Automate repetitive calculation and data handling tasks to improve study turnaround.
  • Perform studies for utility-scale generation and interconnection facilities.
Quality, Standards & Compliance
  • Follow IEEE, NESC, NEC, and applicable utility grounding requirements on all assigned studies.
  • Check calculations and model data against QA/QC procedures before submitting work for review.
  • Comply with company, industry, and jurisdictional safety standards and practices.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment.
  • Work under the direction of more senior staff.
  • Present study findings and open technical questions in internal project meetings.
  • Support senior engineers in client and utility discussions on grounding scope and results.
  • Share study methods, templates, and lessons learned with other engineers on the team.

  • Perform essential duties including meeting deliverables and deadlines.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned or directed.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesRequired
  • Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech.) or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Foundational understanding of power systems concepts, such as grounding design or renewable energy systems.
  • Working knowledge of one or more power systems analysis software tools such as ETAP, CDEGS, CYMCAP, PSS/E, or PSLF.
  • Experience in power distribution, generation, transmission, solar PV, or energy storage environments.
  • Advanced English proficiency (approximately IELTS 7.0+, TOEFL iBT 95+, or PTE 76+), sufficient to draft technical reports and collaborate with US-based teams.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, approximately 3 PM to 11 PM IST.
  • Knowledge of power systems analysis software tools such as ETAP, CDEGS, CYMCAP, PSS/E, PSLF, or similar is desirable.
  • Exposure to solar PV, battery energy storage, wind, microgrid, or other renewable energy systems.
Preferred
  • Experience with Python or a similar language for calculation and reporting automation.
  • Exposure to CDEGS, PSS/E and/or PSCAD.
  • EIT Certificate is desirable but not required.
