POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a resilient, high-energy, experienced Electrical Engineer to develop avionics for the next generation spacesuit. This position directly supports the nation’s ambitions of landing the first woman and next man on the surface of the moon.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage or participate in all aspects of flight harness development including:
Design
Procurement
Fabrication
Testing
Installation
Conduct research for appropriate selection of connectors, backshells, contacts, cable sleeving, and shielding
Calculate bundle diameters, bend radii, and deratings of wires
Work with stakeholders and component owners across the organization to ensure designs are compliant
Create harness drawings, schematics, manufacturing instructions, test plans, and other documentation
Manage procurements and project schedules
Troubleshoot issues with building and testing
Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership
Implementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle
Perform additional job duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience
Required
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering with 4+ years of experience
Comfortable driving forward and delivering outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Ability to communicate and problem-solve proactively
Preferred
Experience with NASA-STS-8739.4A
Experience with spaceflight or harsh environment rated electronics
Experience with NASA or DOD requirements and regulations
Proficiency in Altium, Solid Works Electrical, or equivalent software packages

Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised

Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones
