POSITION TITLE:           Design Engineer II

JOB PURPOSE

Design and develop new products required for the continued growth of product line. Prepare requirements and projects plans for new product development. 


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Design and develop electrical systems including PCB layouts, circuits, components, sensors, and special layout requirements. 
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable regulatory standards (IPC, IEC, etc.). 
  • Research and evaluate electronic subcomponent replacements for obsolescence management. 
  • Perform fundamental circuit design and troubleshooting to support current and future products. 
  • Design, build, and test prototype circuits to validate design requirements. 
  • Assist manufacturing in transitioning prototypes to production. 
  • Prepare and maintain PCB documentation and sign-off in PLM systems  
    (e.g., Windchill). 
  • Develop factory acceptance test procedures for in-house and customer requirements. 
  • Organize tasks, manage ordering and delivery of equipment/materials, and facilitate efficient assembly. 
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely project completion. 
  • Provide support for sustaining processes and procedures for electrical/electronic items. 
  • Assist manufacturing and R&M teams in resolving technical issues. 
  • Offer post-project support, including troubleshooting remotely or onsite as needed.

Experience & Education

 

       REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering or Tele Communication Engineering or related technical field. 

  • 7 + years’ experience in Digital and Analog circuits, power electronics design, Understands EMI/EMC compatibility.

  • Excellent debugging skills and experience in electronic labs

  • Familiarity with IPC standards.

  • Good communication skills, verbal and written. 

  • Willingness to work independently or in a team environment. 

  • Ability to multitask. 


PREFERRED

  • Experience with prototype development and testing. 

  • Understanding of obsolescence management and component sourcing. 

  • Experience in creating test procedures and performing acceptance tests. 

  • Software skills  Altium, PADs , Visio. 

 

 

Travel Requirement: This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to:  <10%
