Job Description:
The Electrical Engineer – ELV is responsible for supporting and supervising ELV works on high-rise building construction projects, ensuring that all systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project requirements, approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role is focused on construction supervision within the Parsons scope of work.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supervise and monitor ELV installation works on site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, codes, and standards.
Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical proposals related to ELV systems.
Inspect ongoing site activities related to ELV systems including, but not limited to, CCTV, access control, public address, fire alarm interfaces, structured cabling, BMS interfaces, and other low-current systems.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure proper integration of ELV systems within the building works.
Ensure construction activities are progressing in line with the approved schedule and highlight any delays, risks, or technical concerns.
Witness testing and commissioning activities for ELV systems and verify compliance with project and authority requirements.
Monitor contractor performance in terms of quality, progress, safety, and resource deployment.
Prepare site reports, inspection reports, snag lists, non-conformance reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
Support the Resident Engineer / Construction Manager in resolving technical issues and ensuring smooth project delivery.
Ensure all ELV works comply with local authority requirements, project standards, and SAPL supervision procedures.
Participate in progress meetings, coordination meetings, and technical reviews as required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Professional registration or membership is an advantage.
Minimum 8+ years of related experience in high-rise building construction projects.
Strong experience in ELV systems supervision within construction projects.
Previous experience in construction supervision, consultant, PMC, or engineering supervision roles is preferred.
Good understanding of site execution, testing and commissioning, QA/QC requirements, and HSE compliance for ELV works.
Experience in major building projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC is an advantage.
