We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team and take on the critical additional responsibility of Site Energy Manager.
In this role, your technical foundation will be utilized to ensure our site's electrical infrastructure and power distribution systems operate reliably and safely. Alongside this, you will step into a strategic leadership position, acting as the site's primary expert for our Energy Management System (EnMS) in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Engineering:
Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of electrical infrastructure and power distribution systems across the manufacturing site.
Troubleshooting & Support: Provide high-level technical support for electrical system issues to ensure safe operations, minimize downtime, and reduce factory losses.
Project Management: Lead or support electrical upgrade and facility infrastructure projects, including vendor management, installation, and commissioning.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all electrical activities comply with relevant national safety standards (e.g., VDE, DGUV), GxP/GMP regulations, and internal company policies.
Site Energy Management (DIN EN ISO 50001):
Strategic Leadership: Advise site leadership on energy procurement, distribution, and usage matters, focusing on cost-efficiency and sustainability.
System Ownership: Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the site’s Energy Management System (EnMS).
Monitoring & Reporting: Define KPIs, establish reporting systems, and conduct regular management reviews regarding energy consumption and savings.
Supplier Management: Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all energy suppliers (gas, oil, district heating, electricity).
Audits & Compliance: Plan, prepare, and conduct internal and external energy audits.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience: Strong background in industrial electrical engineering, facility power systems, or electrical infrastructure. Experience in a pharmaceutical, GMP, or highly regulated manufacturing environment is a significant advantage.
Energy Management Mindset: A strong interest in sustainability and energy efficiency. Prior experience with energy management is a plus, but not strictly required.
Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, excellent project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and site leadership.
Languages: Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
