We are seeking an Electrical / Electronics Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of advanced electronic systems from concept through production. As part of the R&D development team based in Cádiz, Spain, you will contribute to the development of electronic protection and safety products, with a focus on Residual Current Devices (RCDs), ground-fault detection devices, and related protective solutions used in low-voltage electrical systems. This role is ideal for an engineer with early professional experience who is eager to grow technically while working closely with senior engineers and a multidisciplinary team. You will gain hands-on exposure across the full product development lifecycle, from concept through validation and certification.

About the job:Electronics Design & Development
  • Support the design, development, modification, and evaluation of electronic circuits and subsystems under the guidance of senior engineers

  • Assist with schematic capture, circuit analysis, and simulation activities

PCB & Components
  • Support PCB design activities, including layout reviews and basic signal integrity, power, and thermal considerations

  • Assist with component evaluation and selection based on performance, availability, and cost

Testing & Validation
  • Participate in prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and analysis of test results

  • Support validation activities to ensure product performance and reliability

Collaboration
  • Work closely with electrical, firmware, mechanical, and test engineering teams to support system-level integration

Documentation & Compliance
  • Contribute to technical documentation (schematics, test reports, design notes)

  • Support compliance with applicable standards and certification requirements (IEC, CENELEC, UL, etc.)

About you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics design or development

  • Solid understanding of analog and digital electronics fundamentals

  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium or equivalent)

  • Familiarity with mixed-signal design concepts

  • Good communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with low-voltage electrical protection standards (IEC, CENELEC, UL, etc.)

  • Exposure to circuit protection technologies and methods

  • Basic understanding of embedded hardware design and collaboration with firmware teams

  • Experience with simulation tools and analysis applications

  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python) for test or analysis support

  • Awareness of CE marking and certification processes
