We are looking for an experienced Electrical Draftsman to prepare and modify electrical drawings, layouts, SLDs, and installation drawings for Oil & Gas, Marine, and Offshore projects. The ideal candidate should have strong drafting skills, good knowledge of electrical systems, and proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable schedules, and installation drawings for oil & gas, marine, and offshore projects.
- Develop and modify electrical drawings based on engineering specifications, project requirements, and client standards.
- Prepare cable routing, tray layouts, lighting, small power, equipment layouts, and electrical installation drawings.
- Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, specifications, and coordination with other disciplines.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers and other engineering teams to resolve design and drafting requirements.
- Incorporate design changes and maintain updated drawing revisions and project documentation.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable project standards, codes, and client requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) will be an advantage.
- 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman, preferably in Oil & Gas/ Marine/ Offshore projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of EPLAN, Revit, Navisworks, or other electrical design software will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of electrical layouts, cable routing, cable trays, lighting, small power, and electrical equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret SLDs, electrical schematics, layouts, and engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively within project deadlines.
Skills Required
- Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman
- Experience with oil and gas, marine, or offshore projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
