Your Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our team and play a key role in the design of sophisticated electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of architectural and engineering projects. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to complex, high-impact environments while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
You will design and deliver electrical systems spanning low- and high-voltage power, power distribution and generation, energy storage, lighting, and fire alarm systems for a broad range of project types, including:
- Mission Critical Facilities
- Laboratories and Research Environments
- Healthcare Facilities
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Central Utility Plants and Campus Distribution Systems
- Corporate and Commercial Developments
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop electrical designs that meet project objectives, codes, and engineering standards
- Ensure accurate, complete, and well-coordinated construction documentation
- Plan and manage project workloads to align with established schedules and budgets
- Perform and/or oversee electrical load studies, system analysis, and calculations
- Size and specify equipment and develop system applications
- Coordinate design solutions with architectural teams and other engineering disciplines
- Maintain organized project files, calculations, and technical documentation
- Uphold quality assurance standards throughout all phases of design
- Conduct or supervise on-site condition assessments and field investigations
- Evaluate staffing needs and support effective resource planning
- Monitor scope compliance and document deviations as they arise
- Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and design narratives
- Participate in client meetings and technical discussions
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project team members
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and emerging technologies
- Proficiency with electrical engineering design and documentation software
- Broad understanding of electrical engineering principles, with working familiarity across other engineering disciplines and architecture
- Advanced analytical and calculation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant electrical engineering experience
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
