Job Summary:
The candidate will work with Control Engineers to design and assemble electrical control systems and control panels (< 480V) for packaging machinery.
The Desired Candidate will have the following Knowledge/Experience:
- 7+ years of experience with an OEM in the Pulp and Paper or Food and Dairy Industries
- Experience applying the National Electrical Code (NEC) in an industrial environment
- Familiarity specifying and configuring Allen-Bradley hardware (Motor Control Centers, Variable Frequency Drives, IO Cards, Power Supplies, Ethernet Switches, etc.)
- Familiarity with specifying and configuring instruments commonly used in packaging or processing systems (photo-eyes, proximity switches, pressure switches, flow transmitters, pressure transmitters, solenoid valves, etc.)
- Experience designing integrated control systems using a central Programmable Logic Controller networked to Remote IO Panels
- Experience designing pneumatic systems and specifying appropriately sized components (filters, regulators, valves, tubing, etc.)
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience de-bugging and commissioning industrial control systems after installation
- Two-Year Degree in an electrical technology field or pertinent experience with a controls integrator or OEM
- Familiarity with UL requirements for Industrial Control Panels
- Some travel required, typically less than 25%

- The candidate will understand an engineering work process. They have a history of developing a detailed design, documenting the design in a drawing package, communicating the design to construction contractors, and following the design to completion.
Compensation & Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this role is $ 90,000 - $ 110,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
