JOB PURPOSE:
- Research
analyses and evaluates requirements for Control & Instrumentation systems.
Designs, develops, tests, Commissions and maintains Electrical, control & instrumentation systems and reviews the work done in cases where the activities are outsourced.

- Grade 12
- BTech/ BEng/ Bsc Electrical Engineering (MUST)
Requirements
REQUIED EXPERIENCE:
- 5 Years’ Experience in Electrical Engineering (Low Voltage).
- 3-5 years’ Experience working with Automation
Systems - PLC, HMI & SCADA (Compulsory)
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Extensive knowledge of Electrical systems Design, especially MCC’s &
LV Distribution Boards
- Extensive knowledge of Computer Aided Design Systems and Tools (AutoCAD Electrical)
- Extensive knowledge of Control and Instrumentation Design.
- Extensive knowledge of Soft Starters and Drives setup and commissioning
- Extensive knowledge of Commissioning of Electrical, Control and
Instrumentation Systems
- Extensive knowledge to develop and interpret Electrical Engineering and
Control panels drawings (GA, SLD, Equipment Layout, Schematic, Loop
Drawings...)
- Extensive Knowledge of PLC Programming skills, SCADA & HMI design,
configuration and implementation.
- Intermediate knowledge of popular PLC, SCADA, HMI and electrical
products (Schneider, Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB.)
- Intermediate knowledge of Industrial Networking design and configuration
(Ethernet, Profinet, Modbus TCP, Modbus, Fibre optic, etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge of Telemetry systems
- Intermediate Knowledge of Diesel generators and automatic generators
starting system.
- Knowledge of transformers

Skills Required
- Grade 12
- BTech, BEng, or BSc in Electrical Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in low-voltage electrical engineering
- 3 to 5 years of experience working with PLC, HMI, and SCADA automation systems
- Extensive electrical systems design experience, including MCCs and low-voltage distribution boards
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or comparable computer-aided design systems
- Control and instrumentation design experience
- Experience setting up and commissioning soft starters and drives
- Experience commissioning electrical, control, and instrumentation systems
- Ability to develop and interpret electrical engineering and control-panel drawings
- PLC programming, SCADA, and HMI design, configuration, and implementation skills
- Knowledge of Schneider, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and ABB PLC, SCADA, HMI, and electrical products
- Knowledge of industrial networking design and configuration, including Ethernet, Profinet, Modbus TCP, Modbus, and fiber optic systems
- Knowledge of telemetry systems
