Responsibilities:
- Responds to customer proposal requests for Electric Power Generation equipment
- Analyzes engineering specifications to quote equipment that will meet the project requirements
- Supports the Sales Engineers as well as customers by providing technical information, literature, schematics and wiring diagrams
- Contacts prospective customers to determine customer needs and explain available services
- Learns about Cat and competitive products in order to offer the best solutions based on customer interests and concerns
- Quotes and closes sales transactions within assigned authority parameters, completing all required sales documentation
- Documents specifications required by individual customers
- Documents shop instructions
- Assists Sales Engineer in producing package bills of material
- Coordinates the process of engineering and producing engine assembles to customer requirements
- Researches technical issues for sales efforts
- Provides technical support for product support issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience with HS Diploma/GED
- 2 year industry related experience preferred
- 1 year retail sales or other sales experience preferred
- Acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Strong PC knowledge with MS Office experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Electrical Power, Electrician, Generator or Reciprocating Engine experience desired
- Personal Characteristics: Customer Focus, Problem Solving, Attention to Detail, Sociability, Achievement Orientation
Travel:
- Up to 25% travel
Minimum Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing

The total compensation (base plus incentive) for this position is
$88,900.00 to $133,300.00Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, and education. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
