Summary of Role
As an eLearning Specialist with a focus on on end user training for products at Command Alkon, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining engaging digital learning experiences for internal teams and customers. This role goes beyond content creation—it involves applying instructional design principles, leveraging technology to deliver interactive learning, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. You will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), build and manage multiple development projects, and analyze learner engagement with your content data to continuously improve our digital learning strategy.
How You’ll Succeed
- Design and Develop eLearning Modules: Create high-quality eLearning content using tools like Articulate 360, Captivate, or Rise that supports adult learning principles and Command Alkon’s Core Values.
- Collaborate with SMEs and Stakeholders: Partner with internal experts to gather content, validate accuracy, and ensure learning objectives are met.
- Implement Instructional Best Practices: Incorporate multimedia, assessments, and interactivity to maximize engagement and retention.
- Manage Content Lifecycle: Maintain, update, and refresh existing modules to ensure ongoing relevance and quality.
- Integrate and Administer Content in LMS: Upload courses, manage settings, and troubleshoot technical issues in our Learning Management System.
- Analyze Learning Metrics: Track learner engagement and performance through LMS reporting and recommend improvements based on data.
- Stay Current with Trends: Monitor and adopt emerging tools and best practices in eLearning design and technology.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in eLearning design and development.
- Strong working knowledge of eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, or similar).
- Solid understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design models.
- Strong visual design sense and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Comfort with basic media editing (audio/video) and graphics tools.
- Data-driven mindset to assess effectiveness and improve outcomes.
