Summary
Performs electrocardiograms, stress testing, applies holster monitors, event monitors, records, edits and processes EKGs.
Requirements
High school diploma required.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS.
Previous knowledge of EKGs preferred.
What you will do
Demonstrates compliance with hospital safety policies and procedures.
Revenue management: ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients.
Performs electrocardiograms, including adenosine stress, dobutamine stress studies, treadmill stress testing and holster monitoring/event monitoring hook-ups according to standard protocol.
Communicates procedures to the patient in a professional manner.
Edits clinical information accurately and according to physician interpretation.
Charges testing appropriately and maintains daily records according to standard protocol.
