ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Component Engineer in sourcing components, gathering and maintaining component data.
- Support and working with Design Engineering, Project Management and Purchasing in identifying, sourcing and the implementation of new/alternate components that is of equal or greater performance without compromising quality at a total cost savings.
- Recommends equivalent alternate component sources to benefit manufacturing and purchasing functions.
- Influences the customer base to utilize Jabil preferred manufacturers.
- Independently resolves component part number issues as needed.
- Provides component data to all functional areas within the company.
- Maintains component data including the Approved Manufacturer List (AML).
- Performs tasks as assigned by Component Engineer
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor Degree in engineering/electronics: Engineering, Electronics and telecommunications, Mechatronics-electrons, industrial electricity with a backrough on electronics or related discipline.
- One year or possibly less than 1 year of relevant experience and/or training.
- Be able to understand technical specifications
- Be good at organizational skill, team-work, and pressure management
- Good English communication
