The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is delivering the MQ-28 Ghost Bat, a next-generation collaborative uncrewed combat air vehicle for the Australian Defence Force. We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to embed safety, health and environmental excellence across the new MQ-28 Production Facility at Wellcamp, Toowoomba.
In this role you will join a specialist team delivering an extensive factory fit-out project (approx. 18 months), focused on supporting all EHS requirements for installation and commissioning of large aircraft manufacturing plant and equipment. After fit-out is complete, the role will transition to supporting business-as-usual EHS for MQ-28 production.
You will work closely with engineering, operations, facilities and program management to identify hazards, determine risk controls and help ensure a safe, compliant and efficient facility. Experience in major construction, high-risk production or complex manufacturing environments is highly desirable. The role includes contractor management and site safety coordination across multiple interfaces.
You will report to the Program EHS Manager and receive day-to-day direction from a Senior EHS Specialist. As a pivotal member of the safety team you will drive continuous improvement under BDA's safety management system, champion a generative safety culture and lead EHS initiatives in a complex aircraft manufacturing environment.
