The EHS Specialist II is a member of the EHS team and reports to the EHS Leader. This advanced role is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and administration of the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. The role will work closely with the EHS team to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, Daikin requirements, and to promote a culture of safety throughout the site.

What you will do:
- Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify and address hazards and risks
- Responsible for the development and implementation of certain EHS policies, procedures, and training programs
- Maintaining chemical management documentation, new equipment, and approval process
- Monitor and analyze EHS data, trends, and metrics to identify areas of improvement and implementing of corrective actions
- Preparation of EHS reports and presentations as delegated
- Has the ability to lead EHS committees and teams to drive continuous improvement
- Support and maintain the improvements of EMS (ISO 14001) and SMS (ISO 45001) document control and systems.
- Conducts or coordinates training to educate employees about safety policies, laws, and best practices
- Assist in new employee orientation training
- Assists site supervisors in investigations of incidents and severe incidents to prevent recurrence
- Assist in the collection of samples for different testing analysis (i.e., storm water, chemicals, etc.)
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend risk mitigation strategies
- Provide EHS technical support and drive site specific initiative and projects
- Promote Daikin’s goal of zero (accidents, emissions, etc...)
- Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practices
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Health and Safety or related field
- 2-4 years related experience

The typical salary for this position ranges from $66,000 - $105,600. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
