Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive full implementation of relevant Safety Framework Elements across the Oslo site.
- Organize, conduct, and continuously improve EHS Risk Assessments, including project-related risk evaluations.
- Plan, execute, and follow up on EHS inspections, audits, and barriers verifications.
- Develop, deliver, and track EHS training programs to ensure compliance with legal and internal requirements.
- Lead site-wide EHS communication initiatives: toolbox talks, newsletters, awareness campaigns, etc.
- Maintain and analyse EHS performance metrics (KPIs, incident rates, near misses) and prepare regular reports for management.
- Lead or support investigations of EHS events, identify root causes, and ensure the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Support the EHS Manager and Site Lead in implementing strategic EHS initiatives and projects.
- Coach and mentor EHS team members and contribute to building a strong and diverse safety culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in EHS roles in an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of Norwegian EHS regulations and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Certifications such as NEBOSH International General Certificate, ISO 45001 Auditor, or equivalent are preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience leading teams or cross-functional initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
- Fluent in English and Norwegian (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS Management Systems (GEHC Framework knowledge is an advantage).
