Job Description
About the role:
As an EHS Specialist, you will ensure operation of the site in compliance with EHS compliance obligations and prevent harm to employees or the environment. You will report to the Head of EHS.
How you will contribute:
- Identify risks and assess unsafe conditions effectively.
- Investigate EHS incidents to determine root causes and implement solutions.
- Deliver training programs.
- Support improvements to the EHS Management System.
- Provide expertise on EHS aspects in project design and execution.
- Identify actions to prevent serious safety risks or incidents.
- Develop solutions for safer and more efficient work environments.
- Stay updated on legal, industry standards.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Federal diploma - Workplace safety and health protection specialist
- Federal diploma - Fire safety specialist
- 3 years minimum in a production / maintenance position or 3 years minimum as workplace safety specialist
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Continuous improvement
- Fluent in French and good working knowledge in English
