What you will do:
As an EHS Manager, you will ensure safety and environmental compliance within the workplace by developing policies, procedures, and programs. You will maintain records, prepare reports, and provide training to employees. You will analyze work environments, conduct safety audits and inspections, and make recommendations to improve safety standards and sustainability practices. You will also play a vital role in emergency preparedness, response coordination, and the management of hazardous materials and waste.
You will provide advice and support on Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) matters to Senior Leadership, Operational Managers, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and supporting the implementation of EHS management systems.
This role reports directly to the CE EHS Director and is based in Switzerland.
How you will do it:
- Act as a subject matter expert and develop annual plans for continuous improvement
- Present EHS data to senior leaders and management teams
- Assess and control workplace risks, identify gaps, and ensure compliance
- Foster effective relationships with key stakeholders
- Promote a positive EHS culture and monitor legal compliance
- Draft and communicate EHS policies
- Maintain ISO 45001, ISO 14001 certifications
- Identify and address EHS training needs
- Resolve audit items and champion EHS initiatives
- Visit project sites, liaise with clients, and produce detailed reports
- Investigate serious incidents and determine root causes
- Liaise with authorities on EHS issues and participate in compliance forums
- Manage environmental aspects and contractor processes
What we look for:
- Degree or equivalent in Environmental Health and Safety Management or similar qualification (technical field)
- 7-10 Years minimum EHS experience in a field service based (multi-site experience essential)
- Fluent in English AND German, OR English AND French
- Experience with EHS Management Systems
- Self-starter with drive and enthusiasm
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and team player mindset
- Full driving license
