Job Summary 
We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to provide environmental, health, and safety leadership for a manufacturing campus in Cabot, Vermont. This position will primarily support the Cutting and Wrapping facility and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs that promote safe work practices, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. 
The EHS Manager will partner closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, human resources, site leadership, employees, contractors, and regulatory agencies to identify and mitigate workplace hazards and strengthen the organization's safety culture. 
What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide EHS leadership, guidance, resources, and support for the Cabot, Vermont campus, primarily focused on the Cutting and Wrapping facility.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs that promote safe work practices and employee engagement. 
  • Lead safety initiatives that foster a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset. 
  • Conduct new-hire safety orientation and deliver required annual training in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company requirements. 
  • Partner with leaders and employees to identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace hazards. 
  • Serve as the primary resource and champion for Safety Committees, Emergency Response Teams, and site leadership. 
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. 
  • Maintain required EHS documentation, permits, records, and regulatory reports. 
  • Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. 
  • Evaluate equipment, processes, and work environments for safety and ergonomic improvements. 
  • Recommend and implement appropriate engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE). 
  • Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics, trends, and key performance indicators. 
  • Coordinate and support internal and external compliance audits and regulatory inspections. 
  • Assist with workers' compensation case management, return-to-work programs, and injury prevention initiatives. 
  • Monitor changes in EHS regulations and ensure ongoing compliance across facilities. 
  • Support sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives, including waste management and environmental reporting requirements. 
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and human resources teams to support business objectives and employee well-being. 
What We Are Seeking
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study, such as industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related technical field, with 3–5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state and federal regulations. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead EHS programs and influence safety performance at all levels of an organization. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, contractors, and regulatory agencies. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and EHS reporting systems. 
  • Ability to travel between facilities. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 
  • Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CHMM, or equivalent preferred. 
  • Experience in food manufacturing, dairy processing, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred. 
  • Experience leading regulatory audits, environmental compliance programs, and safety management systems. 
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and behavior-based safety programs.

Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $93,000–$103,000 annually.
