Job Description:

  • Ensure Kuanyin site operates in accordance with Huntsman’s EHS & PSM standards, procedures, guidelines as well as local EHS Laws and Regulations
  • Proactively identify Kuanyin site EHS & PSM needs and develop site specific EHS & PSM strategy to meet our EHS standards and the local legal requirements
  • Proactively support all departments in Kuanyin site in understanding and implementing EHS & PSM requirements
  • Organize and conduct EHS & PSM training and competency tests to ensure the EHS procedures are in place, understood and followed by all employees
  • Work closely with Production Manager to periodically review and suggest enhancing process safety management and process efficiency
  • Build and maintain an emergency response team. Make sure that an alarm system is in place and the site organization is trained
  • Maintain ISO 14001 system and providing advisory role for PU NEA organization
  • Lead and directly manage Kuanyin EHS team. In cooperation with site management team, build and sustain active & efficient Zero Harm Culture that is visible at all levels 
  • Ensure Huntsman Taiwan’s all (AM/PU/PP) business activities, production, warehouse, offices activities as well as travels are meeting both company and local EHS standards/regulations
  • Ensure appropriate EHS training/communication/auditing is carried out in Huntsman Taiwan
  • Prepare and control EHS function budgets
  • Build and maintain good relations with local authorities and consult with them on EHS matters if necessary, also manage the relationship with the governments, the communities, the neighbors etc
  • Provide direct EHS management & appropriate EHS training to Korea sales offices ensuring safety & well-being of our employees
