Essential Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, mentor and provide EHS support for GE and Contractors within SA7 (OK)
Provide the necessary direction and training to build business EHS capabilities and knowledge within EHS personnel.
Provide oversight and governance to ensure EHS compliance with applicable management systems, programs, legislation and standards for distributed (projects and services) operations across the region.
Partner and develop positive working relationships with customers, external agencies and contractors as well as internal cross-functional personnel. Focal point of contact and interactions with all for the respective portfolio being served.
Support ITO/OTR and handover or response to customer queries for projects across SA7.
Work closely with the auditing team to ensure appropriate governance in in place to monitor performance in all areas of operation. In addition, occasionally participate in business EHS governance audits and help with corrective action implementation.
Share best practices across regions and areas of operation.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or technical equivalent from an accredited college or university, or equivalent qualification or
Minimum of 5 years of significant EHS and operational experience in a professional EHS role overseeing the execution of EHS in projects or services environment, leading a team of EHS resources
Eligibility Requirements:
Ability and willingness to travel 50-70% of the time
Must be physically capable of climbing a wind turbine and performing confined space entry on a regular basis.
Must be capable of using turbine fall protection systems, including maintaining weight for such systems to be effective: maximum personal weight limit of 250 lbs.

Demonstrated achievements with safety programs, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Deep domain expertise in multiple High-Risk Operations example; Electrical Safety/LOTO, crane safety, construction safety, fall prevention, confined space.
Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate and drive change and interact cross-functionally
Able to coach and support key influencers to drive EHS compliance and the reduction of risk through team engagement and help develop an organizational culture that prioritizes EHS
Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language.
Confidently able to facilitate and deliver training and or presentations to a diverse audience
Ability to influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal
Trained to Global Wind Organization (GWO) standard
The salary range for this position is 113,100.00 - 150,800.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
