Flogistix is an oil and gas optimization company which utilizes an engineered approach to help customers with their vapor recovery, compression, and water transfer needs. We are seeking an EHS Manager Manufacturing for our facility in El Reno, OK to become an integral part of our team. This position will perform manufacturing audits to evaluate work procedures, processes, equipment and environmental to ensure compliance with internal and governmental industrial standards. The main goal of the evaluations is to protect the employees and property from harm. The EHS Manager, Manufacturing, will recommend and assist with implementation of necessary changes to protect employees and property based off evaluations.

May perform other duties assigned by Manager.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  1. The EHS Manger, Manufacturing will educate employees and managers through one-on-one interaction and formal / informal training. Training will include new employee orientation, group training and specialized topic training. In addition, relevant EHS topics will be distributed to keep the EHS program in the forefront.
  2. Will assist with individual shop monthly group training sessions as schedule allows.
  3. Assist in the investigation of all incidents occurring in his/her assigned area to include employee injuries, property damage, vehicle accidents and environmental incidents to identify the causes and implementation of preventative actions to minimize similar incidents from occurring.
  4. Will assist in the management of employee injuries to reduce impact to the workplace.
  5. Will assist as necessary with the Manufacturing Safety Involvement Team, by providing input for discussion by committee members and resolution of unresolved issues brought forward by the committee.
  6. The EHS Manager, Manufacturing, will assist with the management and ensure the accuracy of the online SDS program for all locations through a cooperative effort with shop managers and the VP, EHS.
  7. Will assist with policy and procedural updates and monthly leading indicator reports.
  8. Participate in scheduled EHS conference calls and meetings.
  9. Stay current with emerging technical and professional aspects of an EHS professional and changes with internal and regulatory guidance.
  10. Must be able to work outdoors in very harsh conditions (cold and hot).
  11. Must be readily available to respond to emergencies, injuries, etc.
Qualifications

 Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  1. Associate Degree in Safety or a closely related field is preferred. A minimum of 8 years’ full-time experience in Environmental, Health and Safety discipline. Two years of work experience may be substituted for one year of education. Safety related experience is preferred over Environmental.
  2. One or more of the following professional certifications are preferred, but not required; OHST, CHST, CHMM, etc.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as moderate to advanced computer and presentation skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Candidates will be required to develop and revise policies and procedures as well as develop and present high-level presentations and training.
  4. Prefer candidates with manufacturing and chemical plant experience.
  5. Prefer bilingual candidates (English / Spanish) but not required.
  6. The EHS Manager, Manufacturing, must maintain a valid drivers’ license.
  7. This position will be in El Reno, OK area, but requires availability for up to 5-10% travel as the need arises.

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 8 years of full-time experience in Environmental, Health and Safety; safety experience preferred over environmental experience.
  • Associate degree in Safety or a closely related field, or equivalent experience substitution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Moderate to advanced computer and presentation skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to develop and revise policies and procedures and deliver high-level presentations and training.
  • OHST, CHST, CHMM, or similar professional certification.
  • Manufacturing and chemical plant experience.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
