Job Title:EHS Leader
Summary:Leading EHS operations in Bangalore site including the remote offices in India to achieve EHS excellence, safe operation to support business growth, sustainability, vision and strategies
Responsibilities Include:
- To collaborate with regional EHS team, Global COE Team, both Operations and Business leadership, to develop and implement site EHS goals and strategies.
- To drive site safety culture continuous improvement, to lead safety culture initiatives.
- To develop, Implement, oversee, and maintain policies and programs to improve the organization’s environmental and safety performance, ensure it complies with current and future regulations and standards, and protect its reputation.
- To develop Mission, Strategy, G&Os and budgets, schedules, as well as performance standards for site EHS management. To be owner of the budget of EHS cost and EHS Capex for EHS operation and investment to ensure EHS compliance and business growth in the sites.
- Lead site team to develop, implement and maintain ISO14001, ISO45001 and other EHS management system and certificates.
- Provide technical expertise and advice on EHS issues to functional or operational areas managers to help them manage their EHS responsibilities.
- Maintain positive relationships with government agencies and EHS authorities, as well as the local community, environmental groups, or other stakeholders who supervise or are impacted by, or interested in, the environmental and safety performance of the organization.
- Foresee, identify, provide solutions and lead initiatives to address the potential challenges of EHS compliances and potential significant EHS impacts to business growth due to the changing EHS regulations and enforcement.
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of EHS professionals to ensure that the organization's EHS strategy is implemented.
- To be EHS accountable person for Bangalore site relocation project, including not limited the EHS design, project EHS compliance, project safety, etc.
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- Bachelor degree in Chemical, Environmental science/ engineering, Health & Safety Engineering
- At least 6-year EHS/ PSM experience in multinational Chemical / R&D/ Petrochemical / Pharmaceutical / manufacturing environment.
- Strong Knowledge on Statutory & Regulatory requirements
- ISO knowledge - Integrated Management System
- High on integrity
- Strong communication, influencing skills and training skills
- Basic computer skills
- English and Local Language Proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge in EHS-SAP, Gensuite
- Good at liaison with Government bodies
- Diploma in Industrial Safety DGFASLI recognized and /or ME. Industrial safety from recognized institution
